Where it all began - Macintosh trees in the old Oriole Springs Orchards from my childhood. 


My brother, Larry, loves to reminisce about rotten apple fights.  His perfect aim as a true big brother brought frustration beyond belief!  I remain baffled over how he found so many apples without bees; I sure couldn't!

We've been grateful to find apples year round to make our gourmet applesauce, and now we source them with a midwestern farm in Michigan instead of across the country.
